Uniting 11 villages of different tribes with the Tandan Trust Friendship School , Manipur

Tandan Trust's Friendship school for primary education of children unifies diverse tribes across 11+ villages, emphasizing community empowerment through unity. Building and operating the school containing a children's hostel, music academy, and skill centers, the trust impacts over 3000 individuals in 610 households, extending beyond classrooms.
Built in 2023, the school acted as a symbol of peace in trying times uniting communities for the sake of their children's education and contributed to economic opportunities for the local community which taken ownership of the construction and maintenance of the school.

Building Peace Through Education with Sunbird Trust in the North-East

Operating through the principle of Building Peace through education and empowerment of children and youth in conflict affected areas of North East India, Sunbird Trust began with their operations in Manipur and have now expanded to 6 states in the North East. ANAHA has supported Sunbird in strengthening education facilities across several schools in Manipur and more recently in Arunachal Pradesh

Hume Centre for Ecology & Wildlife Biology, Wayanad, Kerala

Hume Centre for Ecology and Wildlife Biology presents the School Science Program, a successful alternative education model supported by ANAHA Trust. Implemented in 10 government schools in Wayanad district, the initiative aims to equip the younger generation with a scientific understanding of their surroundings. Through small-scale, systematic field research and engaging activities, it fosters the active involvement of children in the region's future development, instilling scientific thinking.

SALT Farming in Manipur under the leadership of David Gandhi

Recognizing the unsustainability of traditional "slash and burn" or shifting cultivation techniques prevalent in the hills of Manipur, David Gandhi, an agricultural scientist introduced the Sloping Agriculture Land Technique (SALT) farming in the area in 2016.

Over the years the uptake of SALT farming has steadily increased and spread to Meghalaya. SALT farming under the expert guidance of David Gandhi has been taken up by numerous NGOs in Manipur and most notably by the Meghalaya government for pilot in 12 blocks of the state.

Tackling Climate Change with Hume Centre for Ecology & Wildlife Biology, Wayanad, Kerala

Committed to conserving ecology especially in Wayand -an biodiversity hotspot, Hume Centre focuses on addressing threats like unsustainable land use and extreme weather events through empowering local communities with scientific ecological preservation.

ANAHA has supported Hume Centre in piloting their work on developing a local scientific landslide prediction model, research studies for mapping locations of hotspots of zoonotic diseases and supporting the youth of the local adivasi communities in getting science education
