Maolkeki Foundation’s journey in becoming a leading organization in Agri-entrepreneurship in Manipur

ANAHA’s partnership with Maolkeki Foundation began with support to their experimental work in building an agri-business near Imphal. Through continued support, the Foundation has built a vast network of agri-entrepreneurs across the state of Imphal and established itself as a leading player in livelihoods development particularly in agri-entrepreneurship in Manipur

Hume Centre’s journey in becoming a leading player in making scientific knowledge accessible to the Adivasi community in Wayanad

ANAHA supported Hume Centre through their organization strategy building, visioning, mentoring and funding support for building scientific local solutions to solve for ecological challenges in Wayanad and building community ownership over scientific environmental conservation. Over time, the organization has grown into a hub of scientific education and local research on environment conservation with their models being recognized at the national level

Sunbird Trust’s journey in becoming a leading player in bringing Peace through Education in North-East India

ANAHA joined hands with Sunbird Trust when they were shaping up their dream of making primary education accessible to children of remote communities of Manipur. Through mentoring and funding support in building schools in remote regions of the state, ANAHA saw Sunbird Trust grow as they scaled up their work from one district of Manipur to 6 states of North-east India.

David Gandhi’s journey from being a retired agri-scientist to becoming a leading Agriculture and rural livelihoods advisor in North East India

ANAHA joined hands with David and Usha Gandhi seeing their immense dedication in improving livelihoods in Aben, a remote forest village in Tamenglong Manipur. Having spent 30 years as an agri-scientist, and educationist respectively, the couple sought to live and work with tribal communities in the hills of the North-East. Over the years, David Gandhi’s work on bringing a sustainable farming technique in 1 village, spread to 4 districts in Manipur and got recognized by Japan International Cooperation Agency and Government of Meghalaya.

Established Organizations: Powering Untapped Potential

Supporting doctors working on nutrition care for adivasi communities in the Nilgiris

ANAHA joined hands with the Association for Health and Welfare in the Nilgiris (ASHWINI) Gudalur seeing their rigorous work of thirty years in serving 320 remote tribal villages in the Nilgiris with negligible access to healthcare. Supporting them with financial capability building and eventual programmatic support for their public health intervention of nutrition support to young mothers and children under 5 in the remote villages of the region, ANAHA saw ASHWINI expanding the program to 100+ villages, garnering interest from other funders as well as presenting their work in numerous conferences as the leading player in public health in the region.
